Julian Assange plans to leave the Ecuadorian Embassy in the near future, he told a press conference at the embassy's London compound, where he's been holed up for two years. The WikiLeaks founder gave no further details.

Speaking at the conference, he recounted the ordeal of having to hide from prosecution in a case where for four years no charges have been leveled. This has led to a serious deterioration of his health, including heart problems.

WRONG!!! Madisonian Democracy is not democracy, it’s a democratic form of government, which just so happens to also be a Republican Form of Government. What Madison proposed as a legislative structure is a confederation of republics, which has elements of both democratic and republican principles, this balances the power of the large, more populous and wealthy States, with the power of the small more numerous States. This makes it impossible to form a majority consensus for anything without the concurrence of both, it has absolutely nothing to do with capitalism, wealth, property ownership, or any other demographic of the society, because it forces all the demographics to have to come together to determine collective choices of all those demographic groups. At the root of all democratic and republican forms of government “Consensus Choice” which is a legislative process which governs collective decision making. In a consensus choice legislative process, those making the choice must also participate in identifying and ranking the choices, and this forms a two phase process where the assembly which identifies and ranks the choices does not make the choice, and the assembly that determines the choice does not identify and rank the choices. This is where we get the purpose of a quorum to operate and majority consensus for assent, in a purely democratic system, a simple democracy, a significant number of the members of the democracy must participate in identifying and ranking choices and form a ballot of the most favorable choices, at the time of the Articles of Confederation that quorum requirement was 9 of 13 States with at least 2 representatives present, then when those matters were determined, each member had 1 vote, and a majority of all the members was necessary to the choice, and the majority consensus requirement was also 9 of 13 States for all matters except for a very narrow category which only required a simple majority which at that time was 8 of 13 States. This purely democratic system, a simple democracy, favors the small more numerous states, and the large more populous and wealthy States are a minority, and in that democratic system those paying the most for the debts of the Union had no control over the scope and cost of those expenditures. In a purely republican system, a simple republic, the large more populous republics are favored, and control the majority consensus by their proportion of suffrage which is proportional to their population, today our 9 largest States can form a majority consensus for any measure, and if we only had a simple republic assembled in a unicameral legislature, the small more numerous states would not have any influence on any collective decisions made in that legislative body. This is why the confederation of republics is necessary to address the disparity in population and wealth between the States, and why it must be assembled in a bicameral legislature. The States are assembled by the Republican principle by their proportional of the population in a popular branch, The Most Numerous Legislative Branch, and the States are also assembled by the democratic principle in an equal branch, and the concurrence of both is necessary to assent to any measure, this forms an iterative legislative process where scope and cost is determined in the popular branch, which gives the large, more populous and wealthy control over identifying and ranking choices, basically performing the responsibility of a quorum, and determining through choice is the responsibility of the small more numerous States in an equal branch. Today, as I stated previously, our 9 largest States would control the concurrence in the House of Representatives to identify and rank choices, but when those choices are transmitted to the Senate for concurrence there are 41 States to reject those measures returning them to the House for reconsideration along with amendments to advise those 9 largest States what would be necessary for the concurrence of the 41 smaller states. This forms legislative checks and balances where the concurrence of all the people and all the States is necessary to make a collective decision on any measure. The problem Chomsky and others have is they equate democracy with Individual adult suffrage, which is not the case at all, the act of voting does not constitute a democracy, and the democracy doesn’t have to be of the people, as in the United States or democracy is of the States, which is why for our Confederated (compound) Republic, all the State legislatures must be assembled as either simple or compound republics themselves, that forms a due dependency and a due responsibility to the People, ALL THE PEOPLE, as the Most Numerous Legislative Branch must be an exact representation of the population which assembles that branch of the State legislatures, forming the “People in their Collective Capacity”. There are only two purposes for voting, either as a legislative assembly, or to form a legislative assembly, when all the members are assembled directly as a legislative assembly, that constitutes a democracy, when the people vote to form the people in their collective capacity assembled as the most numerous legislative branch, that constitutes a republican form of government. “A Democracy” is a legislative assembly, “Democracy” is how that legislative assembly is formed and how it functions, and “Consensus Choice” is the legislative process which governs how a majority consensus is reached in a legislative assembly. Those making the choice must participate in identifying and ranking the choices, not just vote on a ballot formed by others, and especially not binary choices.

So, so, tired of the evolution debate and of dogmatic atheism. Who the hell cares what Richard Dawkins thinks or doesn’t think, I know I don’t. He can think the moon is made of blue cheese for all I care. Any preaching with the aim to convince or change minds is tiresome. We live in a pluralistic society and pluralistic thinking and views are of more value than a single mind set, as if we lived in a giant commune or something. Atheism as a system has been tried under communism and it didn’t work, so let us move on to something more interesting like the quantum field or quantum gravity, or something similar.

Hitch was surely brilliant, however pre & post 911 Hitch presented two quite different perspectives. My personal view is his almost forced patriotic stance defending actions undertaken following the attacks, shows how his “immigrant “ personal journey pushed him subconsciously to stand behind pro America propaganda. What a shame, his wonderful mind with such deadly use of words, could have had a real impact against the criminal administration he seemingly stood behind.

I long for the day everyone realises that dogma is not a prerequisite for self-actualisation, belonging, joy, love, compassion and justice. I think that although we are coming closer to realising that the truth claims of religions are extremely unreliable and worthy of ridicule, they will never vanish as long as people NEED them in order to feel content and validated. The very fabric of our wider and smaller social institutions, from Government to the home, must change if we are to realise that virtue, love and contentment exist in and of themselves, emanating from our very brains.

Came on this just now. The definition of religion is that to which we are bound. We are all bound to something. If religious bound to belief, if atheist bound to disbelief or non-belief. Bound to a belief in an Intelligence that is greater than human intelligence can reign in the ego and keep it from atrocities, or on the non-value of other humans. We should have faith, in a better future, in good things to come and work towards the future based on that faith. Of course knowing would be ideal, but until we are evolved to that level, we believe. Faith is not the problem and there is no reason for it to end. Dogmatic religion or dogmatic atheistism, either one can be a problem. Communism was atheist, many suffered under it, even died, and were not allowed to be intellectually free. That reason is not problematic is not the case. Reason can lead us into all kinds of madness. Maybe reason can lead us into a belief in the trans human, humanity as better if augmented with embedded technology. . A religion that sees us as other than evolved apes is good. The Enlightenment and humanism arose after the Dark Age when progress was again seen as possible and humanism took over. It is not a panacea, as time has shown, and emphasis on it as being faultless is naive,

The reason why men like Chomsky will never be in politics is they seek the absolute truth on its most fair level. If we had a better world where you were inducted into politics by merit and fairness. The reason why you watch other men/women, be it media or politics when they talk to him cant understand his point of view is not because they know more then him or are on the side of right. It's because they literally have not begun to reset, approach the world affairs with a humanistic approach without any of the old propaganda views they injected into us at an early age. If men like Chomsky were appointed as leaders in a fair humanistic governing body the world would be a better place. While you sleep at night there are sorry excuses for human beings making decisions with a phone call or a click of the mouse that will destroy people and countries for their own profit and it's hidden within our own white picket fence policies. This is the reality and if more people could pull out the plug and see things as they are we would be enough in numbers to back him. You have entire religions full of preachers and leaders who are supposed to be a humanistic and loving group and one of the few men who will actually speak out against protected and profited atrocities is a softly spoken thoughtful professor. Shame on us all.
